I’ll direct a film every year now, avers Shirish Kunder!
Filmmaker Shirish Kunder seems to be following Perfectionist Aamir Khan’s path. We all know that it is Aamir’s strategy to work on one film in a year, so that he could put all his focus on it. And now we hear that Shirish Kunder is also planning the same, but there is a twist.
In case of Aamir he features in only one film a year and for the same he slows his speed and fully concentrates on single film, while in Shirish’s case it took him six years to come up with his second film, so his strategy is to speed up so that he can make at least one film a year.
Shirish says he now wants to be regular and will make one film a year. Kunder’s directorial debut Jaan-E-Mann released in 2006 and it took him six years to make his second film Joker. Starring Akshay Kumar and Sonakshi Sinha, the film releases August 31.
“2006: I directed my 1st film ‘Jaan-E-mann’. 2012 : My second film ‘Joker’. Now on, I’ll direct a film every year. Will torture you all more often,” the 39-year-old tweeted.
You said it right Shirish, it is actually all about torture as we still are unable to forget the sheer agony of Jaan-E-Man!
