Deepika Padukone selects clothes for her next flick herself
One of the key aims of the movies is to get the actors of the movie decked up in the clothes that the character specifically requires. This funda seems to have been taken too seriously by the dusky damsel of the Tinsel town Deepika Padukone.
The actress, who will next be seen in theSanjay Leela Bhansali flick titled Ram Leela, is supposed to playing the role of aGuajarati girl. Technically the stylist was supposed to look for the clothes that are to be donned by the actress in the movie, but Deepika’s dedication towards her work is seen by her going out on a secret shopping expedition along with her stylist.
A source said, “Deepika went shopping during Navratri because in the festive season, there’s more variety of traditional outfits readily available in stores. As she plays a Gujarati girl, she would need ghagra cholis and oxidized jewellery for certain parts of the film. She has been roaming the Mumbai markets and quaint shops, especially in Vile Parle and Irla. Her stylist for the film, Anju Modi, has been accompanying her. As they didn’t want to be mobbed, Deepika sat in her car while Anju and her team would shortlist stuff and bring it to her. The task was accomplished with minimum fuss.”
Deepika has her reason to shop. She said, “Navratri is a great time to shop for authentic traditional wear.”
Well, we hope that she is having a great time selecting the best pieces of clothes for herself.
