Alia Bhatt says she always wanted to make it by her own….
The upcoming flick of Karan Johar, Student of the Year, features all the newbies in the movie including Alia Bhatt, Mahesh Bhatt’s daughter who always wanted to carve out a way for herself in the industry on her own.
The actress, who is just 19 years old, takes her own route in making her presence in the industry and will be seen in Student of the Year. Alia said, “I always wanted to make it on my own and I am happy to have achieved that. Right from the beginning, I had decided that I don’t want to be launched by my father’s company (Vishesh Films). Honestly, it would have been an easier way (for me). After all, why wouldn’t my father launch me?”
Being the daughter of the veteran actress Soni Razdan, she wanted a different experience. She said, “In addition to losing weight and grooming myself in a way that I would be accepted (in the film industry), I also had to audition for the role.”
When asked if she is happy to initiate her career with this typical Bollywood movie, she said, “I have always been fond of Hindi movies, and I couldn’t have asked for anything better. I remember when I found out a year ago that Karan would direct me in my first film; I just couldn’t sleep that night.”
What a right attitude towards aim; sky is surely the only limit for her it seems.
