Pooja Bhatt says she did not make Jism 2 for 100 Crore club!
Jism 2 might have been the redefinition of Indian censored erotica for many and must also have churned out money and rung cash registers to their highest, but director Pooja Bhatt never had 100 crores in her mind while making Jism 2.
She definitely is on cloud nine these days with the jaw dropping success of Jism 2 over Murder 2 and Jannat 2, but she thinks that Bhatt clan rules uniquely and has their own Bhatt club.
Pooja further says on the same, “With regard to entering the 100 crore club, I don’t make movies for 40-60 crores plus that give me a turnover of 100 crores. I make films for 7 crores plus that do a turnover of between 25-50 crores. They can keep their club. We Bhatts rule our own!”
One of the trade experts spoke on the spell bounding success of Jism 2, “Started with a bang on Thursday [previews; Raksha Bandhan holiday] and Friday, but slipped considerably on Saturday itself. Though most films witness a decline in business on Saturday, the fall in this case was alarming. The film, however, was better on Sunday, but lower than Friday, which, again, comes as a surprise, since most films fare the best on Sundays.”
