Barfi! is a 2012 Indian romantic comedy film directed by Anurag Basu. The film stars Ranbir Kapoor, Priyanka Chopra and Ileana D’Cruz in lead roles. It is released on 14 September 2012[1] on 1750 screens in India and 350 screens overseas[2]. The title was earlier credited as Khamoshi and Silence.[3].
Production
Ranbir Kapoor[4] reportedly plays the role of a deaf-mute Nepali origin boy.[5][6] Priyanka Chopra will play the role of girl with autism.[7] In addition, Ileana D’Cruz will play the role of the narrator.[8] Basu confirmed that Katrina Kaif was the first choice for the role of the narrator, but she later opted out.[9] The film began shooting on 11 March 2011.[10] [11]
